Plant & Civil Engineer Oct – Nov ’24

Welcome to the October-November edition of Plant and Civil Engineer, which is my last edition as editor.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this magazine; it has been my favourite title in over three decades of being a pen for hire.

This edition, I’ve been busy at home too, with ‘my digger man’ back to lay blinding on the hardstanding and a tree felled, which was so fascinating to watch I’ve shared the story.

As ever, this edition is packed with great content, including Martin Elliman’s coverage for the JCB press event that unveiled a host of new products from security tags to crawler excavators.

We’ve got the latest news on attachments, working at heights, crushing and screening, and recycling and wastes management. Check out our two View from the Cab features and stay updated on current issues with our columnists, Gordon Best, Jim King, and Karen McShane.
Next time, we’ll feature the PCE Awards winners and look at winter maintenance and mobile quarrying, recycling, and earthworks equipment. If you’re in those sectors, make sure to share your news and product insights.

You can keep up to date every day with all the industry news 24/7 at www.plantandcivilengineer.com. Of course, you should also be getting our weekly newsletter, which is emailed out every Tuesday. If not, simply subscribe on our website so you don’t miss out. It’s free!!
