There will be a strong display of plant and machinery at the forthcoming Royal Ulster Agricultural Society’s Balmoral Show being staged in partnership with Ulster Bank at Balmoral Park from 13th -15th May 2015.

RUAS Chief Executive, Colin Mc Donald commented: “We were extremely encouraged by the increase in activity at the 2014 Show. We are determined to build on that success. The 2015 Show will be bigger again with more stands and displays and most importantly more to see, do and enjoy.”

Thanks to the availability of more space – up 10% on last year – plant and machinery exhibitor numbers have increased and there are several new innovations such as Sustainable Ireland’s Sustainable Village. “The bigger footprint means there is a bigger opportunity for more things,” said Colin McDonald.

More than 80,000 visitors passed through the gates during the three day event last year – some 30,000 visitors on one day alone, with numbers swelled by an influx of visitors from the south of Ireland – and organisers are hoping this year will be even better.

New exhibitors this year include McSharry Bros and Glendun Plant Sales. They’ll be joining regulars such as Northern Lift Trucks who will have a bigger machinery display this time around to mark their 30 years in business.

Also returning this year are Finning Caterpillar, Sleator Plant, TBF Thompson, Northern Excavators, Pat O’Donnell, D A Forgie, WAC McCandless, Wilsons of Rathkenny, Alan Milne, Johnson Gilpin and Cowan Bros, so there certainly should be plenty to see – and it’s good to know that many visitors are attracted to the show primarily because of the various machinery displays!

Andy Mills, Regional Director, Business Banking at Ulster Bank, said: “Ulster Bank became the title sponsor of the Balmoral Show in 2009 because we recognise its central importance as a showcase for some of our most important companies. It’s an excellent opportunity to highlight the support we offer local business.”
