Anaconda Equipment have plenty to celebrate; fresh from their success at their first ever Bauma Show in Germany, the company have also picked up a top award in the Belfast Telegraph 2013 Business Awards, held in association with British Airways.

In making the award to Anaconda, who design, manufacture and export a range of mobile screening and conveyor equipment for the materials processing industries, the judges considered the company’s growth, export achievements and design innovations, as key reasons.Comments Production Director, Martin Quinn: “What keeps us top of our game is our unique selling points – nobody else in the world makes what we make in the way that we make it.”

“We design and build screening equipment which is fully containerised, we drive the machine into the container, send it across the world and someone else drives it out – and there’s no need for specialised assembly or specialised staff when it arrives. As a result we send our products all over the world, often to pretty inaccessible places. You will find our products in places like Papua New Guinea and Fiji.”

As well as the top business award, Anaconda also picked up Best Small / Medium Business Award; the awards are acknowledged to be a gold standard and are viewed as the most prestigious in Northern Ireland.

Meanwhile, the company recently enjoyed their first Bauma ever, with many visitors coming to the stand over the days of the show. Bauma is the world’s largest and probably most important trade fair for the industry. Popular on the stand was the Anaconda DF410, the entry level screener which can screen and stockpile up to 250tonnes/hour of material into three sizes, and ideal for those restricted by working in urban areas. As well as promoting Anaconda’s full range of equipment, the heavy duty robust TR60 18m track-mounted stockpiling conveyor, with huge stockpiling capacity was on display.

Says Con Gallagher, Marketing & Sales Director: “We have been delighted with the quality of visitors and the international spread represented among them. This has been a very positive and successful show for us. We welcomed customers from all around the world at our stand and we have a lot of follow up calls and visits to make in the weeks ahead.”

Micheal Burns, European Dealer Manager adds: “Exhibiting at the show for the first time has been great for meeting potential customers as well many of our existing clients. The Bauma show was an ideal opportunity for ANACONDA to exhibit its innovative range of equipment. We look forward to returning to Bauma, bigger and better next time around.”

His words were echoed by Catrina Quinn, Marketing Manager: ‘We were truly staggered by the vast number of potential new customers, and general visitors, who came to the Anaconda stand.’
