Lagan Building’s first Tesco Contract

The Lagan Building Team have secured their very first Tesco contract – for the complete construction and fit-out of the Tesco Extra store at the Banbridge Outlet in County Down.

The project involves the construction of a new 60,000 sq foot Tesco Extra Store which will have 650 free car parking spaces. Works include concrete piling, a steel/timber frame structure, composite cladding panels, glazed curtain walling system and stone and timber external features.

Lagan Building will also undertake the fit-out of the store which will include a customer cafe, bakery, deli, phone shop, electrical shop, community room and staff areas.

This building contract will provide work for up to 200 local people and commented Tom O’Hare, Director of Lagan Building Contractors Ltd: “The Lagan Building team are delighted to have secured our first Tesco contract and look forward to working with Tesco and their entire team. The construction which commenced in mid-March is due to be complete in autumn 2014.
